Leafs Look to Complete Perfect Road Trip Against Canucks
Toronto Maple Leafs (33-19-2) at Vancouver Canucks (25-18-11)
📅 Saturday, 7:00 PM ET
📍 Rogers Arena, Vancouver
📺 TV: Sportsnet | Radio: FAN 590
💰 Odds: Leafs -140 | Canucks +120
The Toronto Maple Leafs are on the verge of sweeping their four-game Western road trip, but standing in their way is a revamped Vancouver Canucks team looking to stay in the Western Conference playoff race.
Toronto has won three straight on this trip, improving their road record to 14-8-2 and putting themselves one point behind the Florida Panthers for first place in the Atlantic Division. Meanwhile, Vancouver holds a wild card spot but is dealing with uncertainty surrounding captain Quinn Hughes, whose injury status remains unclear.
One thing to note? The Leafs have struggled in Vancouver.
Toronto has lost seven straight at Rogers Arena, with their last win in 2019.

Canucks’ Busy Trade Deadline Approach
The Canucks have been active in the trade market, making three deals in recent days, including:
- Trading J.T. Miller to the Rangers and immediately flipping the first-round pick to Pittsburgh in a package for Marcus Pettersson and Drew O’Connor.
- Locking up Pettersson with a six-year, $33 million extension.
- Sending depth defenseman Mark Friedman to Nashville for future considerations.
Despite the changes, Leafs head coach Craig Berube expects Vancouver to be just as competitive:
“I don’t think their game changes any. The guys they added are good players.”

💰 Anytime Goalscorer – Jake DeBrusk (+250)
In 18 career games against Toronto, Jake DeBrusk has 11 points, and he’s known for stepping up against the Leafs. Pat Maroon even once recalled DeBrusk saying, “I own the Leafs” during the playoffs. A great value bet tonight.
💰 Anytime Goalscorer – Auston Matthews (+125)
At +125 odds, it’s always a smart play to bet on a former Rocket Richard winner who has been slightly quiet as of late. Matthews never stays quiet on the scoresheet for long.
💰 Total Shots On Goal – Morgan Rielly (Over 1.5, -110)
Rielly is back in his hometown and has recently been given the green light by Berube to jump into the rush more. Given that he plays on the top power-play unit, he should easily register at least two shots on goal tonight.

Closing Thoughts
The Leafs have a chance to sweep their Western road trip and enter the 4 Nations Cup break on a four-game win streak. With first place in the Atlantic on the line, expect Toronto to bring their A-game against a Canucks team trying to build chemistry after their deadline moves.
Can the Leafs finally break their Vancouver curse and get their first win at Rogers Arena since 2019?
We’re about to find out.
Go Leafs Go!
